Floyd Oster

Floyd Oster earned his Associates in the Arts Degree from Keene State College. He is an active performer who has performed with many local groups and currently directs the Franklin Pierce University Brass Ensemble. He has taught private trumpet instruction at Franklin Pierce University since 1990.

Over 43 years of teaching, coaching, and performing and touring in various bands and stage shows. Master Certificate with Berklee School of Music & BA in Music Theory and Composition at Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire. Mark gigs out regularly with his ten piece "classic rock" function band as well as pick-up gigs for jazz ensembles, reggae, country and other assorted bands in the area. Mark is currently the music director and drummer for "The Nines", a local 10 piece R&B band and currently owns and is the engineer of Tap Root Studio, a digital audio recording facility. Mark is the former owner of Keystone Drum Shop in Northampton, Massachusetts. Marl's students have been accepted to the Julliard School of Music in New York, Berklee School of Music in Boston, Oberlin college in Oberlin, Ohio, The Army band and other liberal arts colleges across the country. He has experience with MIDI sequencing programs, electronic music generation with drum machine, tone generators, sampler, synthesizer and keyboard controller units.
MEET THE TEACHERS
Wendy Keith has been playing guitar and singing for many years. She is a two-time ASCAP award winning singer-songwriter and has created three CD recordings of primarily original folk, blues and Americana material. Wendy Keith has opened for Mark Erelli, Patti Larkin, Jesse Colin Young and the band, America. She has played the Peterborough Players, The Folkway and the Colonial Theatre. She began teaching guitar at age sixteen, taught privately for many years and was on the faculty at Springfield College teaching Music and Empowerment to undergraduate students in Manchester.

The Musician's Compound is a school created so that everyone who has a desire to learn music can do so. We have dedicated teachers, local professionals from throughout the Monadnock Region, who can help students of any age or ability or style. We are currently installing a recording studio because having access to recording equipment is such
an important resource for all
musicians.

Mike Chadinha
Drummer
Mike Chadinha is the drummer and one of the founding members of national touring band Roots of Creation. Mike’s musical journey began with the bass guitar until he eventually realized drums and percussion was his calling. He has been on many studio recordings including all of Roots of Creation’s live and studio albums and several other hip hop, edm, reggae and rock albums. Mike specializes in Reggae, Funk, Hip Hop and Rock.
